Jason Alavarez
“My name is Jason Alvarez. I’m a native of Mexico, but I live today in Nashville, Tennessee. I am a real client of The Hawkins/Durham Law Firm. I work as an electrician, but I also have an entrepreneurial streak in me, and I am in process of starting my own business. In January 2008, I went to The Hawkins/Durham Law Firm to help me solve a legal problem I had with the State of Tennessee. This problem jeopardized my job and threatened to take everything away that I have worked so hard for. Travis Hawkins went the extra mile to help me solve this problem. With his help, I managed to keep my job, and my plans to start my own business are still on track. I recommend the The Hawkins/Durham Law Firm to anyone who has a legal problem.”
Sajida Najman
“My name is Sadija Najman. I am real client of The Hawkins/Durham Law Firm. I’m a native of Kurdistan and live now in Nashville, Tennessee. On April 24, 2006, I suffered a serious injury while at work. I was walking in the parking lot of a Nashville area Wal-Mart, when a motorist who had lost control of his vehilce struck me and ran me over. I was immediately rushed to the hospital. I suffered from serious injuries, including severe bruising and a broken foot. I was required to undergo physical therapy and missed a lot of work and quality time with my husband and family.
“I hired the The Hawkins/Durham Law Firm to represent me in this case, and they did a great job. They were well-prepared and professional. They are also prompt about returning my phone calls and keeping me informed about the status of my case. I cannot disclose the terms of my settlement because they are confidential. But I am pleased with the hard work of The Hawkins/Durham Law Firm.”
Elizabeth’s Story
On November 4, 2007, Elizabeth Buckley and her family were devastated by an accidental house fire that razed her home in Slayden, Tennessee.
After the fire, Elizabeth contacted her home insurance company, Nationwide, to file a claim. Instead of paying the claim promptly, the insurance company spent months investigating it. The insurer put Elizabeth and her family through a series of exhausting interrogations and refused to clean the site up for five months.
Fed up with this treatment, Elizabeth came to our firm in March 2008. We took her case for no money down. About six weeks later, on April 21, 2008, Nationwide cut a check in payment of the claim in the amount of some $159,000.
With the proceeds of her settlement, Elizabeth has opened a restaurant and grocery in her hometown. The Pig N’ Chick is a favorite of the Slayden locals. The barbecue, fried catfish and other southern cuisine are as delicious as you’ll find anywhere. The company is even better! If you’re ever in Slayden, Tennessee, stop in and see Elizabeth and her friends.
Thank you, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth’s Testimonial
“Hey Travis,
Sometimes in life, just by chance we meet people that make our lives better. Not only because of what they do for us, but just by having met them. You Travis are one of those wonderful people. My life got better the day I found your firm!”
