A native of Tennessee, Travis Hawkins is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and the District of Columbia. He received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army in 1990.

Mr. Hawkins has worked as a trial attorney and litigator for seven years, having worked in the office of general counsel for a Washington, D.C.-based Fortune 100 company. He presently works as a sole practitioner with offices in Nashville and Franklin.
